We are a Christian orphanage located in Kisii, Kenya, where we provide a safe and loving environment for 36 children who have been orphaned or abandoned. Our journey began in 2016, and since then, we have witnessed growth in both the number of children under our care and the development of our facilities.
Our Registration Status
Pillars Of Hope CBO is a 501c (3) non-profit Organization registered in the United States. P.O.H.CBO is headquartered in Kisii West of Kenya. Pillars of hope CBO building was officially launched in 2023 August the 3rd but officially opened its doors to the kids in January 2025. It’s run by Rev. George and his wife Maureen Oyaro. Today, this home cares for 35 orphaned and abandoned boys and girls who have been sexually abused, molested, beaten, forced to child labour, and genitally mutilated (yes some girls have gone through female genital mutilation) by a cruel society. When you mention Pillars Of Hope, you automatically feel an abundance of emotions that cannot be described. These beautiful souls touch your soul to a place you never knew existed. And none of this would be possible without the amazing love and support of our friends. Our budget is around 150$ per month for each child, but any donation will touch a life however small or big collectively will sponsor one child. The sponsorship will cover, food which is very important to them, clothing, will keep them in school, give them medical care, and give small payments to the men and women (staff) who take their time from their families to cook, and care for them.
