Hello, my name is Joseph George Oyaro, and I am the Overseer of Gospel Believers at Celebration Church and the director of Pillars of Hope orphanage. I am truly blessed to have my dear wife Maureen Oyaro by my side, and together, we have been given the gift of two wonderful children, Seth and Nyakerario. Our hearts are filled with a deep commitment to serving in the Lord's Vineyard, and we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for abandoned orphans to grow and thrive.
In our home, we strive to provide a healthy and enabling environment for these children who have been left without families. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential, and we are passionate about offering them the love and care they need. One of our specific goals is to welcome more girls into our home, as we have noticed that many nearby orphanages tend to host only boys. We are determined to provide these children with not only the basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter, but also with access to healthcare and education.
Our hope is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these precious children, and we are dedicated to ensuring that they have the support and resources they need to thrive. We believe that every child deserves a chance to experience love, security, and the opportunity to build a bright future. It is our privilege to be able to extend our care and compassion to these children, and we are committed to making a positive impact in their lives.
Our Home
We are a Christian orphanage located in Kisii, Kenya, where we provide a safe and loving environment for 36 children who have been orphaned or abandoned. Our journey began in 2016, and since then, we have witnessed growth in both the number of children under our care and the development of our facilities.
Thanks to the generous support of Shield of Faith Charities International Inc. in California, USA, we were able to construct a permanent building that we proudly call home. This donation has been instrumental in providing a stable and secure shelter for our children. Additionally, with the grace of God, we were able to drill a borehole on our premises, ensuring that we have access to clean water even during the dry seasons.
Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to further enhance our orphanage by constructing an administration block, a counseling hall, modern toilets, and a perimeter fence. These additions will not only make our home more complete but also create a more conducive environment for the well-being and development of our children. We are grateful for the continued support and blessings that have allowed us to make a positive impact on the lives of these vulnerable children.
